The Shady Side Of Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom is pretty good at staying out of the public eye, but that doesn't mean he's not messy. The actor's dating life has gotten more publicity than his film projects as of late, possibly because, well, it's a lot more interesting. Behold why Bloom may be one of the shadiest men in the biz.
He's probably cheating on Katy Perry
Katy Perry just seems to attract terrible boyfriends: John Mayer, Russell Brand, and now, Orlando Bloom. The couple reportedly first hooked up in January 2016 at a Golden Globes party and attended the Met Gala together on May 2, 2016, but just days later, TMZ caught the actor getting very close to Selena Gomez. Sources say Bloom and Gomez were "very touchy feely," with Page Six reporting that Bloom was "all over" Gomez, but the former Disney starlet "absolutely went back to her room alone."
TMZ also noted that as far as anyone knows, Bloom and Perry are still together—the day before the shadiness went down, she even tweeted, "What's the cut off age of being able to say 'I want to grow old with you' like 50? 65? 31?" Ouch.
He's a jealous ex
Radar Online reports that Bloom blew up at ex Kirsten Dunst when he found out she was getting serious with then-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, even though Bloom and Dunst had gone their separate ways years prior. (They dated briefly in 2005 when Bloom was on a break from his long-term relationship with Kate Bosworth.) "Kirsten wants to marry Garrett and she was shocked when her Orlando reached out to her and ripped Garrett apart for his hard-partying, bad boy ways," a source said. "Orlando was basically acting like a jealous boyfriend."
He can't control his temper
Gomez and Bloom's hookup has more history than most people realize. In 2014, the pair were spotted getting cozy together at a comedy benefit, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Mirror reports that in July 2014, Bloom threw a punch at Gomez's ex, Justin Bieber, after Bieber allegedly mentioned hooking up with Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. A witness says, "Orlando was clearly annoyed when he saw Justin and instigated the situation by taking a swing at him." Bieber later posted a photo of a sad-looking Bloom as well as a bikini-clad Kerr on Instagram before deleting them both. TMZ said Bieber ducked the punch and then yelled a few obscenities. It seems like only the ladies in these situation are able to keep a modicum of class.
He moves really fast
Remember how we mentioned that Bloom and Perry started dating in January 2016? Less than a month later, Radar Online nabbed photos of the pair out and about with Bloom's 5-year-old son, Flynn, from his marriage to Kerr. Having a constant flow of different ladies in the kid's life can't be good, especially if Bloom has already ditched Perry for her own pal, Gomez.
He likes 'em young
Gomez is almost 16 years younger than Bloom. Creepy, right? He also reportedly hooked up with Lindsay Lohan, who is 10 years his junior. The Daily Mail reports that Bloom was on Lohan's infamous list of famous "encounters," though there's no clear timeline on when it actually happened. Maybe at 31, Perry is just too old for the 39-year-old hunk.
He may drink too much
Radar Online reports that Bloom loves to hit the bottle as much as he loves to hit Bieber. A source told the mag that his drinking is what ultimately led the demise of his marriage to Kerr. "Orlando got wasted at one of Ian McKellan's famous dinner parties, which was mostly just a wine party," an insider said. "Miranda hates when Orly [his nickname] gets drunk the way he does because he often blacks out or forgets where he is." The source added, "Someone usually walks him home just to be safe, but I think the drinking was the flaw Miranda used to file the divorce."
He doesn't have the best role models
Bloom looks up to...wait for it...Howard Stern, who isn't exactly renowned for his respect for women. "I have a man crush on him," Bloom told Radar Online. "I mean, he thinks I'm handsome, that's ridiculous. He's seeing a reflection of himself, that's what it is!" Please, please, for the sake of all that is good and Gomez, let this be sarcasm.
