Katharine McPhee And David Foster Are Reportedly Engaged

Katharine McPhee and David Foster are ready to tie the knot!

TMZ reports that the American Idol alum and the music producer are engaged to be married. According to the gossip rag, McPhee was seen showing off an engagement ring while she and Foster were vacationing in Capri on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She reportedly FaceTimed friends and family to flash them her new rock.

A rep for McPhee, Leslie Sloan, confirmed the pair's engagement to TMZ.

McPhee, 34, and Foster, 68, were first thought to be dating back in May 2017. However, it wasn't until May 2018 at the Met Gala that the two made their official red carpet debut as a couple.

Though neither McPhee nor Foster have spoken out much about their romance, a source described how in love the two were to Us Weekly in November 2017. "When Kat talks about David, her face lights up. She's really so happy. They're actually so sweet together," the source shared. "They aren't hiding it anymore. ... David is really charming. The age difference might seem substantial to some, but they are really cute together and it makes sense."

McPhee's wedding to Foster will mark her second marriage. She previously married Nick Cokas in 2008, but the pair split in 2016 after McPhee allegedly cheated on her husband with Smash director Michael Morris. Foster, on the other hand, has been married four times before. From 1972 to 1981, he was married to B.J. Cook. Then in 1982, he married Rebecca Dyer, but they eventually divorced in 1986. Foster then wed Linda Thompson in 1991, before later splitting in 2005. His fourth wife was Yolanda Hadid, the mother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid and star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They married in 2011. They later split, finalizing their divorce in 2017.
