Eva Longoria Welcomes First Child
Eva Longoria is a mom!
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, the Desperate Housewives alum and husband José Bastón confirmed to HOLA! USA that they've welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Santiago Enrique Bastón.
Their little bundle of joy was born at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, and weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
"We are so grateful for this beautiful blessing," the married pair released in a statement. They also shared a sweet snapshot of the actress holding their newborn son in the hospital while sporting a "Santiago" necklace.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Longoria, 43, and Bastón, 50, first announced that they were expecting in December 2017. Bastón is already a dad to three children, daughters Natalia and Mariana and son José, from his previous marriage to Natalia Esperón.
While speaking with E! News at the premiere of Overboard last month, Longoria revealed how excited she was for motherhood. "I can't wait to meet him," the Lowriders star, who celebrated at an extravagant baby shower around that time, gushed. "I just can't wait to see what his personality is like, what he looks like, how much hair he's going to have. There's so much to look forward to, and it's becoming more real every day."
The proud parents tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Valle de Bravo, Mexico in May 2016. Around the time of their one-year anniversary, Longoria told Entertainment Tonight, "We're always like newlyweds. Some days we feel like we've been married for 40 years and other days we feel like we've been married for two seconds — just depends on the day!"
Congratulations to the happy couple!
