Alicia Silverstone Files For Divorce From Husband Christopher Jarecki

Alicia Silverstone and her husband are calling it quits.

On Friday, May 25, 2018, the Clueless star filed for divorce from her rock musician husband of nearly 13 years, Christopher Jarecki, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the actress cited "irreconcilable differences" in her filing, listed the former couple's date of separation as March 15, 2016, and requestec joint legal and physical custody of their 7-year-old son, Bear Blu. Meanwhile, spousal support will be decided in accordance to their prenuptial agreement.

"They still deeply love and respect each other and remain very close friends but have mutually decided to separate after being together for 20 years," Silverstone's rep told the publication. "They have a son together who they will continue to co-parent."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Silverstone, 41, and Jarecki, 47, announced their separation in February 2018. After marrying in 2005, they welcomed their first child together in 2011.

Just prior to the announcement, the Book Club actress took to social media to share photos from her Hawaiian vacation with the former couple's son — which they seemed to go on without Jarecki. "Bear and I on our Hawaiian adventure. My sweet sweet love," Silverstone wrote, captioning a sweet snapshot of the two. 

She went on to gush about their vacation in another post, writing, "This trip is amazing. Even the drive from the airport was so pretty. Walking to the health food store, Harvest Market. So sweet to do. Farmers Market was fun, just a 3 minute walk. There was a lovely little band playing at the market, the backdrop of the mountains was so pretty."
