Meghan Markle's BFF Steals The Show At Royal Wedding
Meghan Markle's best friend was serving up some major Pippa Middleton vibes this weekend.
According to Town and Country, Jessica Mulroney became an internet sensation after she walked into St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle to attend the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding.
As the magazine noted, Middleton turned heads when her sister, Kate, married Prince William in 2011. While stepping out at Westminster Abbey to hold her sister's train, she famously donned a white fitted Alexander McQueen dress — and instantly became known for her pert posterior.
Mulroney, who served as an unofficial maid of honor at her bestie's nuptials, similarly went viral when she wore a navy blue dress designed by Antoinette Di Carlo. With its button details on the cap sleeves, along with "flawless tailoring," the 38-year-old's outfit was reminiscent of Middleton's — particularly from behind. But that's not all: As the publication noted, Mulroney's half-up, half-down hairdo bore another striking similarity to how Middleton wore her hair seven years earlier.
According to the Daily Mail, Mulroney's "Pippa moment" occurred when she, along with the Duchess of Cambridge, guided young bridesmaids and groomsmen into the church.
Did Mulroney borrow notes from Middleton's famous attire, or were her royal wedding fashion choices simply a matter of coincidence? Either way, the Canadian fashion stylist certainly stole the show this weekend.
"I totally missed Kate was too busy looking at @jessicamulroney," one fan tweeted, while another wrote, "Loving Jessica Mulroney's ultramarine blue dress. Gorgeous!" (via the Daily Mail).
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Prince Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, tied the knot on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The royal couple have been together since the fall of 2016 and announced their engagement last November.
