Pete Davidson, Cazzie David Split After Two Years Of Dating
Pete Davidson and Cazzie David have called it quits.
In People's exclusive sneak preview of his Thursday, May 17, 2018, appearance on Complex's Open Late with Peter Rosenberg, the Saturday Night Live star revealed that he and the Eighty-Sixed creator have split after two years of dating.
"We're not together anymore," Davidson began. "Very talented girl, she'll be great and she'll be fine," he said of his ex. "Yeah, I think she'll be okay."
After Rosenberg asked if he would also be okay following their breakup, the comedian replied, "Yeah, probably."
According to an Us Weekly source, the former couple have faced their fair share of ups and downs over the course of their long-term romance. However, the insider added, "There's a chance they get back together."
Davidson and David, both 24, began dating in 2016. Shortly after going public with their relationship, Davidson opened up about whether it was intimidating to be romantically linked with the daughter of comedy legend Larry David.
"Well, I'm not dating him," he told People that May. "I just love her very, very much." Of his relationship with the Curb Your Enthusiasm star, the comedian added, "He's the sweetest man in the world, he's the coolest. We get along really well. I listen to everything he says very carefully because you want to retain it all."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Davidson, who was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder last September, has often credited his ex-girlfriend for helping him to stay sober following his years-long battle with substance abuse.
"I'm very lucky. She's very, very supportive," he told Entertainment Tonight in April 2017. "She's the most beautiful girl in the world, look how lucky I am. She's so smart, look how smart she is. She is a very, very wonderful lady."
