Report: G-Eazy Arrested In Sweden
Rapper G-Eazy was taken into police custody early on Thursday, May 2, 2018.
TMZ reports that G-Eazy, whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum, was arrested in Sweden after he allegedly attacked security guards at a club and was caught with cocaine on his person. According to the gossip rag, G-Eazy, 28, was partying at a club after performing in Stockholm the night before when he reportedly became "belligerent." When security guards attempted to calm him down, the "Him & I" artist allegedly got violent, hitting one of the guards in the face multiple times.
As a result of his behavior, Swedish police reportedly detained him, which is when they allegedly discovered cocaine in G-Eazy's pocket. The cops then arrested him for suspicion of assault, possession of narcotics, and use of narcotics, according to TMZ.
The celeb news site obtained footage of G-Eazy's arrest, in which his girlfriend, Halsey, shouts something about getting hit in the face. TMZ reports that Halsey may have gotten hit during G-Eazy's altercation with the club's security guards.
Swedish police later confirmed the arrest of an American citizen at 3 a.m. early on Thursday to The Blast. According to the site, police said the arrest "involved an official or employee at the club."
At the time of this writing, G-Eazy is reportedly still in police custody. He's not expected to be released until court reopens on Friday, May 4.
