Jennifer Aniston And Justin Theroux Call It Quits
It's over for these two stars.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have broken up, according to a report by E! News. The now-former couple, who married in August 2015, released a statement to the celeb news site on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, revealing that they'd split in late 2017. "In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," the joint statement read. "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."
The statement continued, "Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else's fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another."
While Aniston and Theroux may have gone their separate ways in 2017, the two still celebrated the New Year together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as noted by People magazine. So, it'd appear that the two may really have consciously uncoupled à la Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
Aniston and Theroux first got together in 2011, before getting engaged in 2012. They later tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2015.
Prior to sparking a romance with Theroux, Aniston was married to actor Brad Pitt, whom she divorced in 2015 after five years of marriage.
