John Stamos' Fiancee Caitlin McHugh's Hotel Room Burglarized
The Fuller House star's wedding weekend got off to a rough start.
According to TMZ, the Beverly Hills Hotel room of John Stamos' pregnant fianceé, Caitlin McHugh, was burglarized on Friday evening, Feb. 2, 2018 — just ahead of their wedding, which is set for Sunday, Feb. 4.
As law enforcement told the gossip rag, McHugh was thankfully not in her room at the time of the incident, during which burglars broke in by unknown means and stole roughly $165,000 worth of jewelry. The items taken were on loan from the Neil Lane collection.
However, according to an Us Weekly source, the couple may be in some luck after all — rather than "on the hook to the jeweler," as TMZ put it.
"John's a lucky guy. Neil and John are super close friends and John is not going to have to go into his pockets and pay anything," the insider alleged. "Neil will provide him with more jewelry and beautiful diamonds and this won't set things back for the wedding at all."
At the time of this writing, the suspect remains at large as the Beverly Hills Police Department continues its investigation into the matter.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Stamos, 54, proposed to McHugh, 31, at Disneyland in late October 2017, where he put together a sweet montage of romantic Disney movie moments before popping the question. The cute pair, who began dating in early 2016, announced they were expecting their first child together in December.
"The [pregnancy] happened. Then I said, I better have a ring on her finger because it's the right thing to do, and I wanted to marry her anyway," the dad-to-be told People at the time. "So I called her parents to ask, and it was like, 'You better!'"
The Scream Queens actor was previously in a relationship with model-actress Rebecca Romijn. They divorced in 2005 after seven years of marriage.
