Prince Harry Says Spending Christmas With Fiancee Meghan Markle Was 'Fantastic'

The royal family must really have taken a liking to the former Suits star.

During an interview with BBC Radio 4's Today program shared on Dec. 27, 2017, Prince Harry revealed just how he and his fianceé, Meghan Markle, enjoyed spending Christmas together. "It was fantastic," he told listeners. "She really enjoyed it. The family loved having her there."

Harry noted that, while his family still had work obligations during the holidays, he and his future bride still had a wonderful time with his family, especially with his 4-year-old nephew Prince George and 2-year-old niece Princess Charlotte.

"There's always that family part of Christmas [where] there's always that work element there as well, and I think together we had an amazing time," Harry, who recently debuted two gorgeous engagement portraits with Markle, said. "We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running round with the kids. Christmas was fantastic."

When asked how Markle was adapting to his family's traditions, Harry shared, "She's done an absolutely amazing job, she's getting in there and it's the family that I suppose she's never had."

As reported by CNN, Harry and Markle joined his family on Christmas day for their traditional church service at Sandringham in Norfolk. It reportedly marked the first time that someone who has not yet married into the family has attended the service with the royals.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Harry and Markle announced their engagement on Nov. 27, 2017, after the prince proposed earlier that month. They're slated to marry at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018. According to Harry's BBC radio interview, a guest list has not yet been put together.
